Decmber 22nd: Social Art Lab’s Theatre Production Performance “Singing ‘Achime-no-Waza’ on the Winter Solstice - ISOLA2018”

This year, the Kyushu University Faculty of Design’s Social Art Lab crossed into the third phase and carried out the “Connecting the Sea and Myth – Shika no Shima Project 2018.” The theatre production titled “Singing Ajime-Sahou on the Winter Solstice – ISOLA2018” concludes this project. This was a production based on the ancient God and protector of the sea, Azumi-no-isora. The fresh performance brought Isora to life into the modern day, and was based on the kagura piece that is performed at the Imperial Court.

– Program: Kagura song “AJime-sahou,” Kagura song “Senzai,” “Patterns of Plants collection of Japanese harp songs – Moshio, Tsukuyomi,” “Patterns of Plants collection of harp melodies,” “Sho flute, Fue whistle, Japanese harp, Vocals,” report to the Emperor, etc.

At the same venue, we will be holding a sound display called “Kanju Manju,” an installation played with imagery that turns the change of see into sound.
