Strategic Design Thinking 2015

We invited globally leading design firm IDEO as a facilitator and conducted a five-day intensive workshop course.
The School of Design and academic center as well as the Robert T. Huang Entrepreneurship Center (QREC) gathered students from the entire university to work on innovative experiences and business designs for elderly Fukuoka residents in 2020. As opposed to the usual negative image of an aging population, we set a theme conceptualizing active seniors as a richer way to live through the years. We set a further six sub-themes as perspectives on the main theme, and each team used design consideration processes, discovered issues and their solutions, and made business model proposals.
