A Visit to Educational Facilities in New York

During a 5-day period, 11th to 15th March 2019, two faculty members, Associate Professor Hiroyuki Matsuguma and Assistant Professor Kazuhiro Jo, and a technical staff Genki Fujita visited NEW INC, New York University, the School for Poetic Computation in New York.

Kyushu University has developed a new educational program at the graduate school level, combining design, business management, and entrepreneurship. Observing the exchanges of opinions from a media art perspective, in addition to design and business, hearing the thoughts of New Yorkers regarding startup businesses, and observing their environment for prototyping concepts helped to provide us with an enormous wealth of knowledge with regard to building future curriculum and improving our facilities.

Kyushu University aims to create new business value to challenge global issues, create innovation for the society, and foster a new generation of leaders who can play an active role in the international community.
