The Kyushu University LGBT Support Guide Has Been Published
The “Kyushu University LGBT Support Guide” (A4 tri-fold, double-sided) has been created and published. This guide also describes the basic policy regarding “gender diversity”, which was newly established at Kyushu University.
The “Kyushu University LGBT Support Guide” was produced jointly by Kyushu University Center for Health Sciences and Counseling (Division of Inclusion), the Student Support Division of the Student Academic Affairs Department, and the Faculty of Design.
The Faculty of Design developed the “basic knowledge” explanations and illustrations from a design perspective, edited the “support” information, and was also in charge of the design of the leaflet itself. It is designed so that the viewpoint shifts from basic information to more detailed information as you open the leaflet that is folded in half.
The Faculty of Design is also planning to hold events (symposiums, exhibitions, workshops, etc.) to commemorate the publication of this guide (around September to October). We will start making announcements as soon as the details are worked out.
We hope that the “Kyushu University LGBT Support guide” will be useful not only to the LGBT faculty and staff, but also in “realizing a campus where all students and faculty members with various identities are respected and where everyone can be themselves” (basic policy).
