Re-mix: The joint international project carried out in cooperation with the Royal College of Art; a seminar & exhibition

Since 2015, we have been cooperating with the Royal College of Art on the “Re-mix” project, a joint international study on techniques for design innovation. This project has led to joint workshops, staff exchanges, the publication of papers, and joint exhibitions.

As part of this project, an exhibition and seminar to present research results were held at the Tokyo Midtown International Design Liaison Center.

At the exhibition, the models that resulted from the joint workshops held in 2015 and 2016 and a panel discussion of design innovation techniques were presented.
At the seminar, the efforts made in the Re-mix project by people at both universities were first presented. Then, Professor Hideyuki Horii from the University of Tokyo and Kenichi Nonomura from IDEO Tokyo were invited to hold a discussion on design techniques.
