17th Geiko-festival

Kyushu University, School of Design, holds an annual school festival called “Geiko Festival.” This year’s festival was held online for the first time. This year is the first time the festival is held online, and the theme is “Blooming!” This word, which symbolizes the success of the festival as a blooming flower, and the hope that visitors will be able to see the activities of the students, who are as diverse and unique as flowers.

Students create the stage, sound, costumes, lighting, etc., from scratch to add color to the Geiko Festival. In previous years, students have used the classrooms at Ohashi Campus to hold exhibitions of their works and other events. This year, however, a circle called ANIMA will be holding an online exhibition in light of the social situation. ANIMA is an official club of the Faculty of Art and Design, Kyushu University. ANIMA has a wide range of creative activities. This exhibition is a place to practice, exchange, and present their free creative activities, focusing on illustration, video, and sound effects.
