Joint Workshop: Kyushu Univ. and Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong about Landscape Restoration Design
July 24th to 27th, 2018
To provide a platform for cross cultural exchange where students of different culture background come together to learn and solve problem in an authentic context. This will also provide the opportunity for students to learn from each other and forge radical perspectives and ideas that can bring about an innovative breakthrough.
This workshop theme is restoration of village landscape where was struck by flood disaster in July, 2017, Asakura-city, Fukuoka. Landscape design team came from THEi and carried out 4 days’ workshop with 4th grade students of Environmental Design, Kyushu University.
THEi team were greeting with Dean Tani, Faculty of Design Kyushu University, then visited disaster site in July 24th 2018. We are over viewing those landscape change and remained tree species to think design for future resilience. THEi team jointed with Kyushu University students and carried out drawing workshop during 25th to 27th, July.
