Global Goals Jam Fukuoka 2016

September 10~11, 2016

Global Goals Jam is a two-day design creation workshop to tackle world issues based on the Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN in 2015. The event is organized by the United Nations Development Program and MediaLAB Amsterdam, and is held not only in Japan but simultaneously all around the world, with designs tackling the issues relevant to the context of each society.

At the Kyushu University Faculty of Design, we invited designers, engineers, programmers, concept creators, and researchers who wish to tackle global issues to join our Global Goals Jam on September 10~11, 2016. Twelve diverse participants from seven countries created three teams to tackle the following goals:

Goal 3. GOOD HEALTH & WELL-BEING
Goal 11. SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES
Goal 12. RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION & PRODUCTION

The project process is recorded using a specialized application known as SCREAM, and published on the website under a Creative Commons license.
