The 6th Seminar for the Future of Design×Business×Entrepreneurship: "Designing the Creation of Value Online"

Faculty of Design Kyushu University, Kyushu University Business School (QBS), and Robert T. Huang Entrepreneurship Center of Kyushu University (QREC) welcomed Keita Takizawa, the representative of PLAYWORKS Inc., to speak about the theme of “Designing the Creation of Value Online” during the 6th Seminar for the Future of Design×Business×Entrepreneurship. This was the first seminar held online and was a success with 96 participants. The following is a description of what transpired during the event.

Mr. Takizawa thrives in a variety of roles, including online workshop designer, inclusive designer, and project facilitator, and provides consulting services for new business development, organizational development, personnel training, and other topics through online workshops. Since last year, he has proactively planned and carried out online workshops and introduced a large numbers of methods and use cases that are unique to online workshops during this seminar.

During the seminar, numerous questions and comments from participants followed in succession through Zoom chat and “sli.do,” the online service for accepting questions. In addition, lively discussions continued during the question and answer session that followed Mr. Takizawa’s presentation, which saw the exchange of many sharp questions about methods of creating value online, as well as examples of the activities and past results of PLAYWORKS, the pro bono creative group led by Mr. Takizawa, as the seminar concluded amid feverish excitement.

Videos from the seminar have been published to the following website for activities.

Through the use of online designer workshops and inclusive designer and project facilitator workshops, we help solve various problems companies face, such as new businesses, organizational development, and human resource development. As the leader of PLAYERS, a pro bono team made up of a diverse group of professionals, I am working on the implementation of &HAND, a service that matches those who require assistance, such as pregnant women and disabled people, with people around via LINE, and VIBLO, a project which seeks to reinvent tactile paving for the blind through new technologies.Leader of the PLAYERS and &HAND Projects / Part-time Lecturer at Tsukuba University Graduate School / Lecturer at Aoyama Gakuin University’s Workshop Designer Development Program
