Architecture Joint Workshop: Kyushu Univ. × National Univ. of Singapore

Hosted by the Department of Architecture in the School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore, joint workshops between the Department of Environmental Design, Faculty of Design in Kyushu University (KU) and the Department of Architecture, School of Design and Environment in National University of Singapore (NUS) was conducted between 23 and 31 Aug 2017.
7 Year 2 undergraduate and 6 Master Year 1 graduate students from KU collaborated with the Year 1 and Year 3 architecture students from NUS respectively. The Year 2 undergraduate students engaged in the exploration of new typology of hawker centres while considering the cultural aspect, climatic conditions and the elements of Architecture. At a more macro level, the Master Year 1 graduate students explored the urban and architectural design at a given site to exploit potential urban function, life and culture by proposing an urban masterplan for the future.
