Kyushu University x PwC Joint Enterprise “Design to Think About Future Work Styles”

As the first step of the Kyushu University and PwC joint enterprise, we invited businesses throughout Kyushu and held a workshop with the theme of “Thinking About Future Work Styles”

The three-day workshop was held in the Ohashi Campus Design Common, and the group of 35 participants included teaching staff and students from Kyushu University, Ajinomoto Co., Inc., The Kyushu Railway Company, Toppan Printing Co., Ltd., Persol Tempstaff Co., Ltd., Fukuoka Financial Group, PwC Consulting LLC.

The workshop highlighted the differences between the students’ preconceptions and the reality of business through the participating businesses and students discussing together the topic of “successful companies.”
In the final presentation on the third day, the students split into two groups to each scheme an outline of a “fictitious successful company.” Precisely because the students’ preconceptions of business were limited, this workshop became a great opportunity for them to share their symbolic efforts and thoughts and think about their own future work styles.

We are truly grateful to all of the businesses that were a part of this workshop. We look forward to future collaborations in the form of joint enterprises between Kyushu University and businesses.
