Kyushu University’s Social Art Lab performed a Hakata modern dance with the woven sound “Weaving/Mandala/Hakata woven sounds” in December last year. This round, as a related project, we held an event focusing on the process of Hakata Ori (Hakata textile) with the cooperation of the “Hakata Machiya” Furusatokan.
Tracing the process of making Hakata Ori in reverse, the presence of yarn, cocoons and cocoons emerges. Would you like to listen carefully to the existence and transformation process through various expressions such as photography, installation and performance?
