Winners for the 2021 Asia Digital Art Award Exhibition Fukuoka have been decided!

The 2021 Asia Digital Art Award Fukuoka (ADAA) is a media art competition organized primarily by Kyushu University, Fukuoka Prefecture, and Fukuoka City, which started in 2001 as a space for discovering and cultivating creators possessing the high-level skills and sensitivity digital content creation demands from Northern Kyushu.

For this competition marking the 21st annual event, we received submissions of 649 works from 14 countries and regions, and a total of 52 works were selected to receive awards, in addition to the Asia Digital Art Award. There were six works from Kyushu University which received awards, including The Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology Award, the Fukuoka Governor’s Award.
The results were announced on the Asia Digital Art Award Fukuoka official website. Exhibitions of the award-winning works were held from 3/8 (Tue.) to 3/13/2022 (Sun.) at Fukuoka City Science Museum (4-2-1 Ropponmatsu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka-shi) and Fukuoka Art Museum (1-6 Ohorikoen, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka-shi).

In addition to the announcement of award-winning works, the talk session “Speaking on the Future of the Media Arts in Asia 2021” is now available.
