"Thinking Deeper than the Sea Conference on Design Strategy”

Kyushu University Graduate School of Art and Design, Kyushu University Business School [QBS], and Robert T. Huang Entrepreneurship Center of Kyushu University [QREC] were pleased to announce the “Thinking Deeper than the Sea Conference on Design Strategy.”

We invited Mr. Shunichi Yamamoto (Image Design > DS > Animation Artist and Director), Mr. Yui Haraguchi (Environmental Design > DS > Representative Director of YOUI Co., and Mr. Kentaro Sako (Industrial Design > DS > Design Strategist, Panasonic Corporation), three graduates of Kyushu University’s Graduate School of Design Strategy who were working at the forefront of society and held a conference with the theme of “what is design strategy?”

In the first part, they talked about their current activities from the perspective of both design and business.

In the second part, we discussed the new SD course that was scheduled to start while following the flow of the Design Strategy major, looking back on our time as students, and what kind of education was needed.
