Public presentation and exhibition of the international joint class “K2 Trans-Fabrication” was held.
This program was a joint international educational program with idKAIST, Department of Industrial Design, KAIST, Korea. We introduced “Urban Furniture” design through field research on urban and traditional architecture in Korea and prototyping by connecting Japan and Korea with digital fabrication and video conferencing systems.
It features remote collaboration through digital fabrication that exchanges and materializes blueprint data via the Internet. We exhibited full-scale works using honeycomb cardboard.
It was jointly conducted by the Kyushu University Faculty of Design and idKAIST. It was held as part of the Asian Design Lab “K2”.
