The Design Initiative for Diversity & Inclusion Preparatory Office at the Faculty of Design, Kyushu University, has been holding the Design for Social Inclusion Study Group on an ongoing basis. The theme of this 5th meeting is prenatal and postnatal support and childcare support as social inclusion and social prescription.
In the first half of the program, Naoko Nakamura, a second-year student of the Master’s Course in Content Creation and Design, Department of Design, Graduate School of Design, Kyushu University, presented a documentary on prenatal and postnatal support and childcare, followed by a viewing of the documentary. In the latter half of the session, we deepened the discussion and explore the possibility of research on prenatal and childcare support as art engineering and design.
