Former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Distinguished Guest House Projection Mapping

August 30th to September 8th, 2019

The former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Distinguished Guest House featured projection mapping created by students from the Kyushu University Faculty of Design.

The Tenjin Central Park Nishinakasu area was closed for renovations to become a better place for recreation and relaxation and reopen on August 9, 2019. Projection mapping was screened at the former “Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Distinguished Guest House”, to commemorate the reopening of the “Tulip roofed public hall by the riverside”.

As one of the few remaining precious French Renaissance-style wooden buildings, the Former Fukuoka Prefecture Public Hall Distinguished Guest House is designated as an Important Cultural Property and is now part of the park facilities.

The projection mapping dynamically developed a variety of images related to Fukuoka Prefecture, such as traditional crafts and prefectural products.
