Global Design Project Ⅴ Results Presentation “KU & NCKU Joint Design Workshop”

Kyushu University held a presentation of the outcomes of the “KU & NCKU Joint Design Workshop / QOL for the Older People”, a joint project with the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. The workshops were held in Kyushu University last September and in National Cheng Kung University last November. The workshops aimed to improve the quality of life for the elderly. The eight teams based on the keywords of “fun”, “anxiety” and “willingness to live”, to design their solutions.

This presentation kicked off with a lecture by Professor Ma Min Yuan, Vice Dean, National Cheng Kung University. He talked about the Stanford University d.school experience and the international joint projects with universities and companies. It was followed by a lecture by Associate Professor Yang Chia Han, on design thinking for social innovation in Taiwan.

The lectures and presentations were in both Japanese and English.
