Ciao is an industry-university collaborative human resources development project undertaken by Kyushu University in its adoption of a project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to develop human resources in services and management through collaborations between industry and universities. Ciao provides opportunities for high-level growth to develop innovators who can trigger Japan’s economy in the future as well as next-generation leaders from creative industries who possess organizational management skills—such as the ability to set up new businesses and sustainable business strategies—in addition to the knowledge and understanding of content creation that designers and creators traditionally have.
Ciao was pleased to present a public lecture on the theme of e-sports in business and culture with Mr. Kenichi Nakajima, chief coordinator at the Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Center and chairman of the Fukuoka e-sports Association. The lecture was a part of Premium-Friday University (a program of adult courses provided by universities working in cooperation with Premium Friday), an initiative being promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. This lecture provided a deeper understanding of areas such as the history of e-sports, the future of e-sports, and e-sports in Fukuoka, while also introducing possibilities for the creation of new values, from the perspective of business and Fukuoka.
