CUMULUS is the world’s largest community of design schools, with over 250 schools from over 50 countries listed as members. The Kyushu University School of Design was officially admitted as a member at the CUMULUS conference held between April 27 and May 1, 2016. CUMULUS holds conferences in turn at each of its member universities. These conferences are venues for participants to publicly announce the results of their research. At the same time, the universities deepen their level of exchange through the promotion of internationalization and share information and ideas on topics of importance in the field of design. Conferences are also venues in which inter-collegiate cooperation and joint projects get their start. Through its acceptance as a member of CUMULUS, the School of Design will continue to expand its international network.
