Shoei Yoh conducted an open lecture called “Non-architectural design: ambient design matrix” at the Kushu University Obashi Campus. This course was a part of the collaboration between Kushu University’s Environmental Design Global Hub (eghub) and the University of New South Wales (UNSW) ongoing collaboration event, “Beyond Industry 4.0: Digital fabrication and local craft”.

Shoei Yoh
Born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1940. Graduate of the Keio University Faculty of Economics. Established the Yoh Design Office in 1970. Has received several awards, including the Architectural Institute of Architecture (1989), for a series of wooden architecture in Oguni-machi. Adjunct professor at Kushu University, visiting professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, professor at the Keio University Graduate School Professor, and visiting professor at the Prefectural University of Kumamoto.
On the same day and place, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm, there was a mini-symposium regarding digital education as a part of the ongoing event, conducted by Sugita So (Hiroshima Institute of Technology), Marjo Niemela (UNSW), Hank Haeusler (UNSW).
