The 5th "Design x Business x Entrepreneurship" seminar for thinking about the future, "In-house entrepreneurial activities to materialize your own thoughts through design thinking and UX － Game Changer Catapult"

Faculty of Design Kyushu University, Kyushu University Business School (QBS) and Robert T. Huang Entrepreneurship Center of Kyushu University (QREC) held the 5th Design x Business x Entrepreneurship seminar for thinking about the future, “In-house entrepreneurial activities to materialize your own thoughts through design thinking and UX － Game Changer Catapult.”

We welcomed as a lecturer Mr. Masanori Fukata, representative of the in-house acceleration initiative Game Changer Catapult, which accelerated innovation and allowed for speedy realization of new business development at Panasonic, to give this seminar to a limited number of participants.

This is a special seminar for a small group of participants featuring Masanori Fukata, President of Game Changer Catapult, a corporate accelerator initiative that accelerates innovation and speeds up new business development within Panasonic. Mr. Fukata is involved in cultivating the seeds of new businesses by soliciting ideas from within the company and fostering a corporate culture that encourages ideas and a climate for innovation. In this seminar, Mr. Fukata shared his story of continuing to take on new challenges to solve social issues and realize his vision through collaboration with startups and people outside the company amidst a mountain of challenges and difficulties that only a large company can face.

Masanori Fukata (Game Changer Catapult Representative [Panasonic Appliances Company] )
Joined Panasonic in 1989. After joining, served in such roles as manager for foreign AV equipment marketing and advertising to foreign markets, Olympic project leader, and Director of Panasonic Canada. From 2016, he has served as the representative of Game Changer Catapult, conducting activities which aim to give form to “electronics of the future” at Panasonic.
