Special Open Lecture Global Acoustic Designer Yasuhisa Toyota ~On the Charm of Acoustic Design~

On November 23, 2018 (Friday, a national holiday) from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., a special lecture open to the public was held at the hall of Multi-Purpose Building, Ohashi Campus, Kyushu University, featuring Mr. Yasuhisa Toyota, Acoustic Designer for <Toyota in the World> – Talking about the fascination of acoustic design.
This was a joint event with the 12th assembly of The Japan Association for Cultural Policy Research, hosted by Kyushu University in 2018.

Mr. Yasuhisa Toyota worked on acoustic design in many well-known concert halls and theaters worldwide (in Japan: SUNTORY HALL, Hibiki Hall in Kitakyushu City), Hamburg, Germany: Elbphilharmonie Hamburg (architecture design by Herzog & de Meuron), Berlin, Germany: Pierre Boulez Saal constructed as part of The Barenboim-Said Akademie (architecture design by Frank Gehry). By welcoming Mr. Toyota back to his alma mater for a special lecture open to his juniors at Faculty of Design, Kyushu University, members of The Japan Association for Cultural Policy Research, and the wider public, we will contribute to society and the local community through the studies of design.</toyota,>
